No Way Jose could be about to dance and jive his way to the top of NXT as according to reports from NoDQ.com the popular star is set for a big push within the brand. Since debuting Jose has proven popular with audiences both at Full Sail and around the world, taking NXT by a storm.

Nobody expected Jose to have quite the impact that he already has but it could prove to be exactly what not just NXT, but the WWE need. According to Dave Meltzer the company is currently looking for a new Latino star and people within the company are suggesting that No Way Jose could be that man.

A major push coming?

Right now No Way Jose is positioned as a mid-card talent in NXT and has yet to have a feud, rather, he has been competing in matches as he showcases what he is capable of. However, he has recently been involved in what appears to be the start of a program with Austin Aries, one of NXT's top stars which proves that the company has faith in him and in the fans to get behind him over a popular worldwide name such as Aries.

With the brand split now just over a week away there could soon be a hole to fill in NXT as several of the brands top stars could be about to move to the main roster allowing those brands to have enough depth. If several main event level wrestlers do move to either Raw or SmackDown then an opportunity will be available for current NXT talent to move up and this could be where No Way Jose comes in.

If the WWE are hoping to push him as a big star, having him move up the card would allow that when the likes of Finn Balor move on to the main roster and entering a feud with Aries is a sign that is happening.

Even though he hasn't been on TV for very long Jose has shown plenty of potential both with his in-ring qualities and the charisma that he brings to the ring. The only worry that stands is whether or not his gimmick will be able to stand the test of time. Gimmicks similar to this such as Fandango and NXT's own, Adam Rose have both fallen flat after bright starts and if that occurs again with Jose then it is unlikely he will gain the big push that the company hopes he will be able to receive.
