Ever since Enzo Amore and Big Cass made their debuts on the WWE main roster their popularity has continued to soar, even though some questioned whether or not their gimmicks would be able to work on a larger scale the duo has easily proven that they have what it takes to stick around and make an impact. Most fans were hoping the team would become the Tag Team Champions on the main roster and that still appears to be the goal, but the unfortunate injury Amore suffered seemingly opened people's eyes to the potential of Cass as a singles star.

During the weeks when he was on his own Big Cass stood out and proved he could work without Amore by his side and even though he isn't as strong on the microphone as his tag team partner the WWE has been pushing Cass to make him appear very strong and according to Dave Meltzer, that could be intentional for a possible feud with Brock Lesnar down the road.

It is no secret that Brock Lesnar has been made to appear dominant and strong for the past few years, especially after ending The Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania, with the Beast not being beaten cleanly since that day. But ever since Cass was moved to the main roster he has also been receiving that treatment, managing to dominate matches and not be pinned.

Most people believed Lesnar was being kept intentionally strong to allow a new younger talent to defeat him, with the victory meaning even more if Lesnar is at his strongest. It seemed like Roman Reigns was the man being groomed for that position, however, after his recent wellness policy violation Meltzer revealed that he is no longer sure what the company's stance on him is, which opens the door for another wrestler to be the one to get the push.

Meltzer now believes that Cass could be the guy put in that position if he continues to develop and show the great potential he is doing at the moment but did make the point that it would likely be a couple of years away. With the brand split around the corner the WWE may pull the plug on Cass and split him up from Amore, allowing him to be a singles star, but right now that does feel too early, especially for Lesnar as he has his sights on Randy Orton.
