With the typical mindset being to win the entire tournament, few can claim to have the level of ability that Sabre possesses making him one of the early favorites to win the tournament.

The competition is based around one simple thing, weight, with each performer having to weigh 205lbs or under. A concept first made mainby WCW who originally had a higher weight limit however, but it did create stars such as Dean Malenko and the late Eddie Guerrero

On his motivation to win he said "One motivation was just a passion, I cannot remember not watching wrestling, I was mesmerized by Dean Malenko, Chris Jericho and Eddie Guerrero. Those guys had just great technical skills

The performer has been presented with the title of 'Best Technical Wrestler' by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter in both 2014 and 2015 and he remains on the cusp of breaking out of the independent scene and into the WWE due to his high level of ability.

Having won a number of tournaments already in the past including The Round Robin tournament in 2008 (AM Wrestling), The UK Super 8 in 2014 (International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom), The Battle of Los Angeles in 2014 (Pro Wrestling Guerilla) and The 16 Carat Gold Tournament this year (Westside Xtreme Wrestling), he clearly has the experience to balance out his ability.

He finished with "I only have one goal for this tournament and that is to win it, I have won tournaments all over the world and in a tournament full of diverse cruiserweights if I am truly the best technical wrestler in the world then I am going to win this tournament and I think when you love something and you put the time and effort in then rewards come."
