Dana Brooke and Charlotte have formed a rather successful pairing since they formed, and even though the start of this duo seemed fairly random the decisions were made for a good reason and with Brooke's development at the focal point it was revealed in a report by NoDQ.com.

The Reason

According to the report, WWE officials are said to be high on Brooke and believe that she has the potential to be a major star in the Women's division at some stage. She certainly has the look and even though she fits the mold WWE tend to go with she is quite unique in the sense that she prides herself on her muscles and that sets her apart from the other women.

The company clearly have confidence in her and from what she has shown so far it seems that judgment has been well earned, from the hard working and dedicated woman fans got to see on Breaking Ground to the brilliant obnoxious heel character she has formed on TV, Brooke seems to have the balance right. However, the WWE were well aware that she is still very green after being fast-tracked from NXT which is why she was paired with Emma

WWE's original plans were to keep the duo of Emma and Brooke together after it had proved popular in NXT, but with Emma suffering a back injury, putting her out of action, the decision was made that Brooke needed a new mentor to help guide and develop her and the choice was Charlotte.

The decision to pick the Women's Champion makes sense as it continued to develop her storyline and she is one of the best workers in the division and can offer Brooke plenty of help. It also ensures that Brooke stayed relevant instead of slipping down the card which was also important.

One negative from this could be that thrusting Brooke into the main event scene of the Women's division could lead her to be exposed if they choose to split her from Charlotte too early but so far the choice has proved to be a good one and the pairing is proving beneficial to both women.
