It is set to be a special edition of Monday Night Raw on this July 4 episode where WWE will be sure to celebrate all things America, let's take a look at what we can expect.

All things patriotic

If the WWE Universe knows anything by now it's that the WWE is very patriotic and you can be certain that will come across on this episode. The WWE usually has a backstage 'party' going on for episodes such as this or Thanksgiving which usually ends in someone being covered in food. WWE.com have teased that a BBQ will be taking place on this week's episode so look out for someone to be covered in JR's BBQ sauce at some point.

The WWE has also announced that a special 16 man elimination tag match will be taking place featuring "Team USA" - "Team World" as the company makes the most of the occasion. The competitors have not yet been announced but it is sure to be a feel-good moment for the home nation team that will likely feature babyfaces.

A former SmackDown GM appearance

With the brand split just around the corner this week's episode is sure to continue the build towards that and throughout recent weeks we have seen former SmackDown GM's from Teddy Long to Kane appear and stake their claims for running the blue brand once it separates. This week fans are likely to see yet another former GM and the current speculation points to one of the greatest in history, Vickie Guerrero. Could the cougar make a shocking return to stake a claim at running SmackDown, or will it be somebody else?

Championships on the line

One match that has been confirmed prior to the show is the United States Championship match between Rusev and Titus O'Neil. This feud has become incredibly personal in recent weeks with Rusev playing up on O'Neils family causing the big man to unleash a rage that fans haven't seen before. It is set to be a colossal showdown when the two big men meet in what is guaranteed to be a physical match, but who will walk away with the gold?

Will John Cena make The Club pay?

The rivalry between John Cena and AJ Styles continued to brew last week as both men failed to capitalize on a chance to qualify for the WWE Championship match at Battleground. Last week The Club left Cena laying at the top of the ramp and someone as patriotic as the face that runs the place will not be wanting the same ending again.

The Wyatt's cryptic messages

Ever since the Wyatt Family returned they have been giving cryptic messages towards the New Day, will they finally reveal what it is they want or will they simply bring an end to the power of positivity? Xavier Woods has struggled to control himself, seemingly frightened of the group in recent weeks and Bray Wyatt may look to prey on that fear in a way that only he knows how.

Champion - Champion

This week's Raw is also set to feature a champion - champion match as Dean Ambrose faces The Miz as both men look to prove they are the number one stars in the company. The Miz is Hollywood's leading man yet the Lunatic Fringe, Ambrose, is sure to want to carry his momentum on to Battleground. However, this match may see an interference from Seth Rollins as The Man looks to prove he deserves to be WWE Champion.

Overall Raw has plenty of potential for this special July 4 episode, with the company pushing towards Battleground they will be wanting to continue building towards that show.
