As of 1st July currently, only two matches have been confirmed for Battleground, these being the triple threat match which sees Dean Ambrose defend his WWE Championship against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins and the match between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens which was confirmed on Monday's RAW.

However, there are many matches that are widely expected to take place. One of the matches we are likely to see at Battleground will be for the tag titles between The New Day and The Wyatt Family. Following their recent promos together it seems that the Wyatts are clearly next in line to the New Day's titles.

After John Cena was defeated by AJ Styles (with help from The Club) at Money In The Bank, it was clear that this was just the first of a series of matches between the two. We can expect to see these two megastars collide once again at Battleground, with the possibility of a third and final match at SummerSlam.

Rusev will most likely be defending his United States Championship, but following the announcement that he will defend it against Titus O'Neil on the upcoming RAW it remains to be seen whether or not he makes it to the PPV as champion.

There are two feuds in the Women's division currently and you can expect to see Becky Lynch take on Natalya and it is possible it could be on the pre-show if there is a WWE Women's championship match.

One match that may happen at Battleground is Sasha Banks - Charlotte for the WWE Women's Championship but it wouldn't be a surprise if WWE held this match off until SummerSlam.
