No surprise

Just now it was announced by The Wrap that Luke Harper has been cast in the horror action film Mohawk. Is anyone surprised that he was cast in a horror film really? He's great at playing his part no matter what he never breaks character. If you ever see him out the ring in interviews he is one of the most down to earth guys who likes to have a laugh and joke around unless there are kids around then he stays in character to scare them. When he is called on to cut a promo he more than delivers and blows everybody's expectations out of the swamp water.

Details on the movie

The movie will also star "Hemlock Grove" actress Kaniehtiio Horn in the starring role as Mohawk. Luke Harper, Justin Rain, Noah Segan, Ian Colletti, Robert Longstreet, Sheri Foster, Ezra Buzzington and Andrew Sensenig will co-star.

Dark Sky Films and Snowfort Pictures are partnering for the movie and Ted Geoghegan will direct.

The movie follows Mohawk, a young female who finds herself in a cat-and-mouse chase after one of her tribes set an American soldiers camp on fire. She flees into the woods but is confronted by Colonel Holt and his soldiers. As soldiers close in on her and other youths from the tribe, they must use real and supernatural forces to fight back.

No word yet on when the movie will be released but principal photography began today in upstate New York. Luke Harper is currently out of WWE action with an injury.

This has good signs

This can only be a good thing as it this means Luke Harpers injury is healing well and he's fully back on his feet as it was reported a couple of weeks ago that he was a long way from returning to the ring but maybe the case was he was close to closing a movie deal for him.
