Now with the return of the brand extension just around the corner, the WWE Universe is abuzz with anticipation about who will end up on what brand. Now surely with this will come the questions about who will be the faces of each brand? With the likes of John Cena, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose all likely candidates to be brand leaders. Let’s now take a look at the top four potential candidates to fill the role.

1. John Cena (SmackDown)

John Cena has been a mainstay in the WWE for the past 14 years. He is also a 15-time World Champion. This all shows the leadership quality that Cena has and he always puts on a show no matter what. He is also a wrestler that gets the crowd going whether it’s good, bad or indifferent, the main question with Cena is which brand Cena would he lead? He began his career on SmackDown and was an integral part of the SmackDown machine for three years. Since then the Cenation leader has been blazing trails on Monday Night Raw for the past 11 years. But if rumors are to be believed Cena’s career may come full circle as he becomes the face of the blue brand as the new SmackDown Champion.

2. Roman Reigns (RAW)

Roman Reigns is the current reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He has been one of the most consistent performers that WWE has today and he has proven time and time again that he has the ability to put on 5-Star matches, case in point at Extreme Rules against AJ Styles. So as the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion it would make sense to keep Roman on the red brand as The Guy for Monday Night Raw. Roman appears to be making huge strides as he continues to be the champion so why change things now?

3. Sami Zayn (SmackDown)

Now we all know that WWE likes the face of its product to look a certain way. Sami Zayn certainly doesn’t fit the bill of what a top guy looks like, but his in-ring pedigree is one of a man that will one day be a main event superstar. He has been the underdog all his life and he could be another Rey Mysterio. Sami is not afraid to try anything to pick up the win and has been one of the poster boys for the New Era. So why not make him the face of SmackDown.

4. Dean Ambrose (RAW)

Dean Ambrose has been a fan favorite since the destruction of the Shield. Whenever he comes out he gets a huge pop. He has been a US Champion and Intercontinental Champion, so he definitely has the hunger to become one of WWE’s top guys. Now Dean has not got the smoothest of in-ring styles but he always gives 100%. The one championship that has eluded Ambrose is the big one the World Heavyweight Championship. He would love to become the face of either SmackDown or Raw and become a big time champion.
