Now nine times out of 10 for a professional wrestler, when WWE comes looking to sign you that chance is taken without two seconds of thought as can be seen with some of the recent high-profile signings to WWE. This is the opportunity that was at the doorstep of Ring of Honor superstar Adam Cole and this is not the first time that the experienced ROH grappler has been courted by WWE as he has been asked several times before by WWE. However, Adam Cole feels now is not the time for him to join WWE.

Adam Cole Speaks

In an interview with Channel Guide Magazine’s Scott Fishman. Cole was asked about having previous opportunities to join WWE, if he will ever join WWE. Speaking on WWE’s advances before now Cole said “If you were to ask me two or three years ago, I would say I definitely want to end up in WWE”. Naturally like every other professional wrestler Cole dreams of a moment on the grandest stage of them all Wrestlemania.

He told Fishman “If I told you I did not want a moment at Wrestlemania I’d be lying to you”. Cole is more than happy at Ring of Honor "Wrestling has gotten crazy lately in that guys can really make comfortable, good livings outside of WWE. I'm going to be with Ring of Honor for a while. So I'm focused on making ROH the best company it can be," he said. Cole has become one of the top dogs at ROH and hopes to help the company grow. "I'm happy I got to be at the forefront of that whole thing," Cole said.

WWE has a history of taking guys from the independent scene and putting them into the public conscious on an even larger scale recently retired Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan), Claudio Castagnoli (Cesaro), Phil Brooks (CM Punk) and Kenta (Hideo Itami) were all recruits from the so-called minor leagues and went on to bigger and better things in WWE.
