Anyone familiar with my work knows that this writer has a passion for covering women’s combat sports. Speaking to a few women who participate in mixed martial arts and boxing gave me the heads up on a new all-female boxing promotion NCWB. The women’s Nordic Coliseum Women Boxing promotion is set to hold their first event on Friday, August 15th in Gatineau, Quebec.
While this writer is becoming more familiar with women’s boxing there are a few recognizable names on the card. The main event is between Kaliesha West and Olivia Gerula with a co-main including Maureen “Babyface” Riordon and the very popular Lita M. Button. This writer has not watched enough matches to give the ladies a full prediction but with the speed that this writer knows they all possess these should be some very compelling and intriguing match ups. Promoting all boxing weight classes from Atomweight to Middleweight division. Giving the boxing community an opportunity to notice the depth of Women Boxing.
