Yasmani Grandal put in a very good week's worth of hitting in just one game Thursday afternoon. Grandal collected four hits, including two home runs, and drove in eight runs, and the Los Angeles Dodgers devoured the Milwaukee Brewers 14-4. He also walked twice, meaning that he reached base in all six plate appearances.

Already 2 for 2 with two walks, Grandal hit three-run home runs in consecutive at bats (3, 4) in the top of the eighth and ninth innings. At that point, the Dodgers already had the game well in hand, but the extra runs did not hurt one bit.

Grandal singled in the first and sixth, sandwiched around his two walks in the third and fifth. His sixth-inning single drove home two runs and made the score 7-3. The hit also gave him the first two of his eight overall RBI on the day and tripled his season output. Grandal now has 12 RBI on the season.

Grandal took Rob Wooten over the right-field fence in the eighth with two men aboard and did the same to Jonathan Broxton in the ninth, also a three-run shot -- this one to the opposite field. His final line reads 4 for 4, 2 BB, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 10 total bases, and 3 runs scored. He is now hitting .301 on the season. He came into the game at .261.

The Dodgers scored six other runs in this one. Alex Gurerro homered (6) to lead off the second and tie the game at 1-1. Adrian Gonzalez had a two-run single in the third. Andre Eithier (RBI triple in the sixth), Juan Uribe (RBI single in the sixth), and Joc Pederson (RBI single in the ninth) also drove in runs.

Milwaukee scored first with a first-inning single from Adam Lind, who also homered (6) to lead off the fourth. Gerrardo Parra singled home a run in the fourth and had a sacrifice fly in the eighth.

Carlos Frias (W: 3-0, 2.13 ERA) pitched the minimum five innings to earn the win. He allowed three earned runs on six hits while walking one and fanning six. He served up Lind's home run.

Mike Fiers (L: 1-4, 5.46) allowed five earned runs on five hits in his five innings. He also walked five, struck out eight, and served up Guerrero's home run.

The Dodgers begin a weekend series with with the Colorado Rockies in Coors Field on Friday while Milwaukee hosts the Chicago Cubs
