The Arizona Diamondbacks got themselves back in the win column Tuesday night with a 4-2 win over the Colorado Rockies.

Chase Anderson continued to impress, earning his fourth win in as many starts since being called up to the big leagues. Anderson threw six fantastic innings, allowing one earned run on just four hits and two walks. The one run came off a DJ LeMahieu solo home run in the fifth inning.

Things didn't go as smoothly for Rockies starter Jorge De La Rosa. The D-backs tagged De La Rosa for three runs in the fourth inning on back to back home runs from Nick Evans and Chris Owings, plus a Gerardo Parra RBI groundout. De La Rosa still managed to get through seven innings, allowing just the three runs on seven hits, four walks and a hit batter.

The D-backs added a insurance run in the eighth inning on a Chris Owings RBI double that put him a single shy of the cycle. He finished the night 3 for 4.

Colorado made it a two run game in the bottom of the ninth inning on a Troy Tulowitzki solo home run off Addison Reed. Reed recovered and settled down to secure his 15th save of the season.

Arizona will look to notch the series win on Wednesday night in game two of the three game set. Josh Collmenter, coming off the best start of his career, will look to continue his success against a great hitting team in the Colorado Rockies. Jordan Lyles will make the start for Colorado. Lyles is in the exact opposite situation of Collmenter, trying to regain success from three consecutive bad starts.
