The Arizona Diamondbacks continued their momentum following a walk off win on Wednesday with a 2-0 victory over the San Diego Padres Friday night at Petco Park.

Bronson Arroyo followed up his great outing against the Phillies with a even better outing against the Padres. Arroyo didn't allow a hit until the fifth inning and pitched seven scoreless innings, only giving up three hits while walking one and striking out six. His counterpart Andrew Cashner had a solid outing for the Padres pitching six solid innings, giving up two earned runs on four hits, three walks and one strikeout.Cashner struggled with his control in the third inning where the D-backs would score the only two runs in the ballgame, coming from a Aaron Hill two run single.

The D-backs bullpen would do their job as reliever Brad Ziegler would pitch a clean eighth inning and Addison Reed would secure his seventh save of the season pitching a clean ninth.

The D-backs face former D-back Ian Kennedy on Saturday night for the first time since he was traded to San Diego in 2012. Kennedy made note that it would just be another for him. Brandon McCarthy looks to turn in another quality start after his career best 12 strikeout outing in his last start.

Notes: D-backs outfielder Ender Inciarte made his MLB debut in Friday's game after being brought up in place of Roger Kieschnick. The D-backs also brought up outfielder Alfredo Marte in place of Tony Campana, evidently showing that Arizona is trying to get some power production while Mark Trumbo is still on the DL for multiple weeks.
