The Los Angeles Dodgers have proven to be relentless and merely unstoppable against the Diamondbacks this season after wining their fourth straight game against Arizona 8-5.

The D-backs were looking for a quality start from pitcher Wade Miley, but he just flat out didn't have his best stuff Saturday night. Miley showed from the get go that he simply couldn't locate his pitches where he wanted to, consistently missing low and other times, outside. The first runs scored off Miley were in the second inning after Juan Uribe hit a two run single that scored Adrian Gonzalez and Scott Van Slyke. Then in the third inning Yasiel Puig hit a single, followed by a two run opposite field home run by Adrian Gonzalez. Miley would give up his fifth and final run in the fourth after Justin Turner hit a double, followed by a Puig RBI single. Miley finished the day only pitching five innings, allowing five earned runs and walking three.

The Diamondbacks offense continued its struggles against Dodgers starting pitching. Zack Greinke dodged bullets all night long only allowing one run off a solo home run during a pinch-hit at bat from AJ Pollock. Greinke finished his outing going 5 1/3 innings, giving up eight hits but just the one run, while striking out eight. The D-backs offense did come alive late in the ballgame scoring a run in the eighth inning on a Cliff Pennington RBI single off Dodgers' reliever Paul Maholm. Arizona then struck for three runs off Dodgers reliever Brandon League in the ninth inning, coming from a Miguel Montero sacrifice fly and a Mark Trumbo two run double.

The five late runs went for nothing, as the Dodgers tacked on a run in the eighth after D-backs reliever J.J. Putz walked in a run. And then in the ninth inning,Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier hit into a fielders choice that scored a run against Addison Reed.

The Diamondbacks look to salvage a win against the Dodgers in a series that has been sheer torture for D-backs fans to witness. Especially the fans having to deal with the rowdy Dodgers fan base that make themselves heard at Chase Field. Sundays series finale features a starting pitching matchup of Trevor Cahill for the D-backs, and former D-backs - Dan Haren - for the Dodgers. Cahill looks to improve on his poor start his last time on the mound against the Giants, only lasting 3 1/3 innings giving up five earned runs. The Diamondbacks are in desperate need of a long outing, after using five relievers on Saturday.
