Bangladesh at home

Palestine claimed a 5-0 win over Bangladesh on Thursday, and three more points at the Bashundhara Kings Arena will put the West Asian side close to a first appearance in the third round of FIFA World Cup qualifying.

However, Oday Dabbagh, Palestine's all-time leading goalscorer, warned against taking the South Asian side lightly.

"The game will be difficult, especially considering that we are up against a developing team playing at home, supported by the local fans," said Dabbagh. "However, I am confident that we have what it takes to secure the necessary result and advance to the third qualifying round."

Bangladesh hope that playing at home will help them overcome Palestine and revive their hopes.

Bangladesh, meanwhile, are bottom of the table with just one point and their hopes of progress are hanging by a thread. The team has yet to win a game, having lost to Australia and drawn with Lebanon.

Bangladesh haven't offered any major surprises in their qualifying campaign. In two of their three games, the Bengal Tigers have lost by a margin of at least five goals, reflecting their poor quality. Palestine will be hungry for another win and should get it without too much difficulty.
