Statements by Jose Zepeda
Jose Zepeda made it clear that his preparation for this fight is among the best and that if he loses he would consider retiring from boxing.
At this point in my career, I'm just looking for big fights; a world title or another big fight, and if I lose this fight, I won't get it. So, I've said if I lose this fight, I may not be seen in boxing anymore, but what I haven't said in all honesty is that this is the best camp of my entire career at 34 years old because I want to win and I want that fourth world title shot. I don't have to. As much as we talk, I've seen one of his fights, the styles are going to clash and it's going to be an exciting fight.

Dalton Smith wants to maintain his unbeaten record and retain his World Boxing Council Silver title.
He's a great puncher, but so am I. It's going to be a great fight. It's going to be a great fight. I think I have a better boxing brain, but in any fight you're going to take, you have to be switched on. You can't switch off because that's how you lose in boxing, switch off for a second. So I'm on for 12 rounds, looking for the biggest performance so far in my career and I can't wait to show everyone.
The WBC is one of my favourite belts and one I've always wanted, it's a great opportunity for me to advance my career and we're closing in on a world title, so I can't wait.
