'Astroboy' thinks that despite having less experience in UFC, his physical aspect will help him to impose himself on his rival.
"I think I'm more technical than him. He's probably stronger than me physically. I saw the way he grabbed certain people and it looked like they should be able to use hooks to get up and do different things. But they just wouldn't move. So he must be physically very strong. But I think, especially punching, I'm more technical. He hits hard, but I think I'll be able to create angles and hurt him with my punches. On the ground I said he is very good, but there I also consider myself very good. So I think I can handle him, we can cancel each other out (on the ground). I don't know, it will depend on who is on top. But I'm very confident in my ground game, so I think it will be a great fight."

'The Cannibal' made it clear that he wants to keep his title and also said that it is special to be on the same bill with his compatriot Jose Aldo.
"Brazil is the real world. Here is the most beautiful city on the planet, Rio de Janeiro, I love coming here. It's a special moment for me to have Jose Aldo on the same bill. I hope Jose Aldo (doesn't stop fighting). I love to see him.
I feel that connection. I want to show how good I am and I will show Jose Aldo that I am also ready to be the king of Rio.
I have enormous respect for Aldo because he is a true champion. He helped a lot of people and he is a good example. I think we need more examples like Aldo.
I am very humble. I don't like (to make a prediction), but I'm going to win. It doesn't matter how. I just (won't) try to bite my opponent because we can't do that, but I'm the cannibal. (I'm going to) go kill this guy."
