According to multiple reports Wednesday morning, Seattle Seahawks strong safety Kam Chancellor is expected to end is holdout and return to the team at their facility in Renton, WA.

After skipping all of training camp, the preseason and the first two regular season games, Chancellor has decided to push his contract issues out of the way for now and return to a Seahawks defense that could definitely use him going forward.

It is expected that Chancellor will be back on the field Sunday for Seattle's home opener against the Bears.

Chancellor texted ESPN's Stephen A. Smith about the news this morning.

Ima go help my teammates that are understanding of my position and the ones who aren’t. God forgives all, why can’t i? Time to help us get back to the big dance . I can address business after the season. Me and Marshawn started a mission 2 years ago. I can’t let my Dawg down….Real talk.”

After an 0-2 start to begin the season, Seattle has to be very happy that he has decided to show up. He reportedly wanted more money on his contract for next season, but the Seahawks were not willing to budge. It does not appear that he has gotten that money and the end of the holdout seems to be Chancellor's decision.

Chancellor is one of the leaders of this defense and the team in general, so don't be surprised if the Seahawks really start to turn it around. His main goal is to "help us get back to the big dance." The 'us' is obviously referring to the Seahawks.

It will be interesting to see if the Seahawks go through with fining Chancellor who has accumulated over $2 million in fines along with his $500,000 signing bonus. The business part of this could get interesting, but nonetheless, the Seahawks have their man back on defense. It is reported that his agent is working to get the fines reduced.

Chancellor is one of the most vaunted defenders in pro football and with his presence on and off the field, this team is now complete.

His health will also be a key factor in his return to game action. Because he hasn't played in so long, he is more susceptible to muscle strains and tears to go along with his overall conditioning. Being in good shape can be very different to being in game shape and ready to hit somebody.

Nonetheless, Kam Chancellor is back for the Seahawks and they just got a whole lot better.
