Jorge Martín reigns in a survival sprint and opens gap in the World Championship
The Pramac Racing rider ended up winning a sprint race that saw up to 15 riders crash. Most of them in turn five, which had water patches. Summary of qualification
The track conditions were tricky due to the rain that had fallen previously and Marc Márquez appeared there to be the fastest and achieve his 93rd pole position in his history. The rider from Cervera had not been on pole since last year in Portugal. Pedro Acosta was close behind, but when he was setting a good lap he crashed.

Dani Pedrosa again wildcard at the Spanish Grand Prix
The Sabadell-born rider, as he did last year, will ride the Spanish Grand Prix as a wildcard with KTM. A circuit that is good for the 'Little Samurai' as he has won four times in Jerez, three of them in the premier class.
The three-time world champion and current KTM tester will participate in some races as a wildcard as he did last year. Here he managed to finish seventh in the long race and sixth in the sprint. He also raced in San Marino at the Misano circuit where in both races he came close to the podium, finishing in fourth position.

The rider who has won the most times at the Jerez circuit in the premier class has been Valentino Rossi with a total of six victories. While the team with the most wins is Honda with ten in MotoGP. Although Ducati has won the last three times it has raced at this circuit.
The Circuit
The race will be held at the Circuito de Jerez which is located in the province of Cadiz. It was inaugurated on December 8, 1985 and has a capacity for 125,000 spectators. It has a length of 4'423 kilometers and has 13 curves, eight to the right and five to the left.

Fourth race of the 2024 MotoGP season. After the Grand Prix of the Americas it is back to Europe for a special circuit for many of the riders. Jorge Martin arrives at the GP of Andalusia as leader of the World Championship in Jerez with a 21-point lead over Bastianini. Maverick Viñales, winner of the last Grand Prix, is 24 points behind.
